Of mice and men Quotes | A Complete Collection of John Steinbeck’s Novella

Of mice and men written by author John Steinbeck in 1937 is a story of two displaced migrant ranch workers, George Milton and Lennie Small who in search of new job opportunities move from place to place in California during The Great Depression.

According to Wikipedia the title is taken from Robert Burns’ poem “To a Mouse”, which reads: “The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men / Gang aft agley”. (The best laid schemes of mice and men often go awry.)
Of Mice and Men Novella is based on the personal experience of Steinbeck while he was a teenager working with migrant farm workers in the 1910s. It appears on the American Library Association’s list of the Most Challenged Books of 21st Century because of its vulgarity and what some consider offensive and racist language.
